Recruitment Assignment – Our Client

About the Opportunity

Ojasvi Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organization that is seeking an experienced Manager, Financial Reporting to join its finance leadership team.

This is a full-time opportunity for a CPA-designated professional with a strong public-practice foundation and deep knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The successful candidate will lead key financial-reporting processes, support the integrity and timeliness of financial information, and work closely with senior finance leaders, external auditors, and business stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be employed directly by our client.

The Opportunity

As Manager, Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting. You will play a central role in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial statements and supporting disclosures in accordance with IFRS.

This position is well suited to a technically strong finance professional who can combine public-practice experience with hands-on corporate reporting responsibilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable interpreting accounting standards, resolving complex accounting matters, managing audit requirements, and translating technical accounting conclusions into clear, practical guidance for internal stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial-close and reporting processes.

• Prepare, review, and coordinate financial statements, supporting schedules, management reporting, and related disclosures in accordance with IFRS.

• Research, assess, document, and communicate the accounting implications of complex or non-routine transactions.

• Prepare technical accounting memoranda and position papers for significant accounting matters, including the application of IFRS standards and company accounting policies.

• Support the preparation and review of notes to the financial statements, accounting-policy disclosures, and other external reporting requirements.

• Ensure financial reporting is complete, accurate, timely, and supported by appropriate documentation and internal controls.

• Coordinate and manage the external audit process, including audit planning, preparation of working papers, responding to auditor requests, and resolution of audit findings.

• Act as a key liaison between the finance team, external auditors, internal stakeholders, and senior management.

• Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation for key balance-sheet and income-statement accounts.

• Support the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of internal controls over financial reporting.

• Identify financial-reporting risks, control gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve the close process.

• Provide coaching, technical guidance, and review support to members of the finance and accounting team.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, special projects, systems initiatives, and other finance-related priorities as required.

• Monitor changes to IFRS and assess their impact on the organization’s financial reporting, accounting policies, processes, and disclosures.

What We’re Looking For

• A CPA designation in good standing.

• A degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field.

• Progressive experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, corporate accounting, controllership, audit, or a related finance function.

• Prior public-practice experience, ideally including audit and assurance engagements for organizations reporting under IFRS.

• Strong, current technical knowledge of IFRS and experience applying IFRS to complex accounting issues and transactions.

• Experience preparing or reviewing IFRS financial statements, note disclosures, working papers, and external-audit support.

• Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing external audit processes.

• Strong knowledge of financial-close activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and internal-control principles.

• The ability to research accounting issues, exercise sound professional judgment, and document clear accounting conclusions.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with financial systems, reporting tools, and large data sets.

• Experience with ERP systems and financial-reporting or consolidation tools is considered an asset.

• Experience in a publicly accountable enterprise, regulated environment, multi-entity organization, or complex corporate structure is considered an asset.

• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder-management, and project-management skills.

• A highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

• Take a leadership role in a high-impact finance function with responsibility for critical financial-reporting activities.

• Apply and deepen your IFRS expertise in a technically challenging and commercially relevant environment.

• Work closely with senior management, external auditors, and cross-functional business partners.

• Influence the quality, efficiency, control environment, and continuous improvement of the financial-reporting process.

• Join an organization that values technical excellence, sound judgment, accountability, and professional growth.
